May 19th was my golden birthday and all my family helped to make it great!
The day before, my dad took me out to dinner with the rest of the family here in Utah. After dinner, we went to Tiffany's house where cake and presents were waiting. They decided to have a theme of bright spring colors. My cake was very colorful and very delicious!
After cake and ice cream, Landon wanted me to open my presents. He told me to open Tiffany's first, so I did. There was a lovely card signed by Landon, Weston, Tiffany and Brad. Landon did a very good job writing out Happy Birthday in big letters to make it so there was little space for Tiffany and Brad to sign. Inside the present bag, I found a new board game called Partini. It looks like a fun game and I can't wait to find a group to play it with.
Next came my present from Mom and Dad. I had no idea what it was going to be and was very surprised to find a sewing machine! I had been wanting one so I didn't have to borrow Tiffany's every time. Now I can sew whenever I want, especially since they just recently brought me my sewing box as well!
The next day I spent with just my husband. We started by going to see X-Men Origins: Wolverine at 1:10, which going to the movies doesn't happen too often, so it was a fun treat. After that, I wanted to go swimming, but it looked like a storm was coming, so we ran to grocery store first, since we were out of milk. By the time we came out, it had passed. It still looked a little cloudy, so we took back the sewing machine I had been borrowing from Tiffany. (I no longer needed it, since I now have my own.)
Once we had done that, the skies were nice and blue again, so we headed to the pool the enjoy some relaxing time together. After the pool, we changed and went shopping. I bought myself some new patterns at Joann's so I could start sewing something new. I also bought myself and new game and at Barnes & Nobles, I got myself the first season of Avatar.
That was all for that day, but we plan to have some more fun on Saturday where we'll probably go the Seven Peaks.
I want to thank everyone for helping make my birthday extra special. I especially want to thank my in-laws for the cards they sent. I wasn't expecting everyone to remember and it made me very happy to think that you had thought of me enough to send a card. Thank you again to everyone!
