This was an awesome Thanksgiving. Since my family will have us for Christmas, we had Thanksgiving with Lee's parents, who always go up to family in Wyoming. It was so nice to see some extended family and the food was great!

After dinner we took Ty outside to look around and play in the yard. Then we walked to the neighbors, which is the father's parents' house, and looked at the horses. He asked if we wanted to saddle up and I was so excited! I haven't ridden a horse since 7th grade and I told Lee when we moved to Colorado that I wanted to go horseback riding.

We rode in a pasture for a little bit while the other horses were being saddled, and Lee decided that for our future children, he'd be done riding. I then went on a leisurely walk with three others down the road. When we came back, Lee decided to try riding a different horse since the other one had a child's saddle. He enjoyed that a lot more. When it started getting dark, Thad let us try a little bareback, then we all went in for pie. It was so fun and even Ty was having a blast playing with Grandpa and the other kids there. Unfortunately, he ended up falling and was bleeding from the mouth, but wouldn't let us see where exactly. An Otter Pop helped to calm him down and then his new Elmo stocking kept him happy in the car until he fell asleep. So other than the small injury for Ty, all of us are very grateful to Thad, Raylene, and family for having us for Thanksgiving!
