Ty's 5!

Ty was so excited for his birthday party this year! This is the first year that I let him invite friends. He had a friend from church, Easton, come as well as his cousins Kaylee and Ben. We also let him have a pinata this year and the kids loved it!

Even Terra got in a few hits.

After the pinata we went inside for presents.

Basically the same Ninja Turtle cake I made last year.
Ty did get fancy candles this year though.
 Make a wish!

5 years have really flown by! His birthday was after the school cutoff, so he's not in Kindergarten yet, but he is going to Preschool and loving it! He has grown so much in the past year and is really becoming more independent and his personality is starting to bloom! He likes to sing more, is starting to tell jokes, and loves to compliment me (which I love). He's also a great big brother and I can see there's a great love between my kids. I'm so grateful to have my sweet Ty!

Labor Day

Monday was Labor Day and we headed to the Denver area to be with my side of the family for the day. Weston had been baptized on Saturday so almost everyone was in town.
We were a group of 19 at lunch.

After lunch we headed into the mountains to a place called Tiny Town. It's supposedly world famous, but I hadn't heard of it before. They have 2 trains to ride and a bunch of small buildings that started out as a little girls dollhouses she made out of cardboard and eventually grew to so much more. They were celebrating 100 years!
Waiting for our turn on the train.

We took up almost an entire train.

Some of the tiny buildings were open for the kids to play in.

 Girl cousins!

 All the cousins!
Not long after this the rain picked up and we had to run to our cars and head back to Will and Becky's house. Then Grammy babysat while the adults had dates. Lee and I went to the fancy AMC close by with the reclining sofa chairs and watched Ant Man. So fun!

Our family continues to grow bigger and bigger, but I love when we're able to bring everyone together and let the cousins play!

Grandma and Grandpa Allen

Lee's parents came to Colorado this weekend for a work thing, but made sure to spend plenty of time with us and our kids. Ty and Terra had a great time getting to know Grandma and Grandpa better! Poor Terra cried every night when they left for their hotel.

We went to the gardens by CSU and Grandpa chased Terra around the whole time. Ty enjoyed learning the names of the flowers from Grandma.

Across the street was an Andy Warhol exhibit, so we stopped to see the soup statue outside.

The kids had such a fun time and I'm sure they're excited for the next time they get to see Grandma and Grandpa!
