Turtle

With everyone living in Utah, my mom decided that we needed a day to get together as girls and have some fun. We decided to call it chicks, chocolate, and crafts. Basically we take a day and hang out at my mom's house and work on the different crafts we have while enjoying chocolate and each others' company. This last craft day was before Bennett's birthday so Tiffany was working on invitaions and plans for the party. She wanted it to be turtle themed which got both of us wondering how hard it would be to make a stuffed turtle plush. I pulled out my sketchbook and started to work on what the pattern pieces would need to look like to fit everything together correctly. After I had worked that out, we pulled out our fabric and picked what would go where and started to work. By that night, we had a complete turtle for Bennett's birthday!

I was so happy when Bennett opened the present and was so excited to play with it. I also found out today that it is now one of Bennett's favorite toys and he takes it all over the house with him!


I hope I can get better at stuffed animals so I can make more for other kids.
