Baby Blanket

In my last post I showed the nursery, but I didn't actually have a blanket to go with the rest of the bedding. That's what I worked on today. I made my first successful quilt! I've tried to make a blanket once before for Ty, and it didn't turn out well. I've since had a lot more experience sewing and I made sure to triple check all my measurements this time. I had a vision in my head of what I wanted the end result to look like and I think I did a good job making it.

 

 
I think it's so cute and super soft! I can't wait to snuggle baby girl in this blanket!

Nursery

Lee helped me start putting together the crib today so that I could make sure things fit the way I wanted them to and finally start decorating. Since our baby will be sharing a room with Ty I only have half a room to decorate. I'm also hoping that setting things up early will help Ty adjust and feel a little more ready for the baby when the time comes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'm excited to find some more cute things for this little girl. I have a feeling she's going to be very spoiled.

Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day to all those special people in our lives! I hope everyone else had a great day like we did.

New Camera!

After Lee estimated what we'd be getting back for our tax returns, we decided we could each have a little money to spend on something nice for ourselves. So after a little research and asking advice, I picked out my first DSLR camera. I got a Canon EOS Rebel T3i. It's totally awesome and I can't wait to learn how to use it! Here's some of my first pictures that I took in the Auto function.
