Cuteness!

A few days ago, Bennett decided he wanted to hold Ty. It was so cute seeing Bennett reach out to hold him and then giving him kisses.Yesterday we went to visit my mom and this is what we saw when we were going to unload him. Ty seemed very focused on his frog toy.

Ty decided to really cute today while we were watching tv. Lee had Ty sitting on his chest and Ty was talking away, so I turned down the tv to get video, but as soon as the tv was quiet, so was Ty. So I turned the tv up a little more and soon he was talking again, so I'm sorry for the noise in the background.

Here's a video without background noise. Ty really likes to talk to himself in the mirror, although this video doesn't have as much talking as he normally does, but you can hear him better.

If you want to see more cute pictures of Ty, I always post a ton on Facebook.

Start of the Christmas Season

Ty got to meet Santa Claus tonight! Being only 2 months old, he didn't really seem interested, but he was still very cute! When I set him on Santa's lap I heard a few people behind me go "Awww!" I'm really starting to think that he has a shot at winning a cute baby contest.

Thursday we had a little photoshoot over at my mom's. Ty is such a cutie and I wish I had all the pictures, but my sister's camera has better quality so she has them all. I did take a few of my own at the end though so here's some of his cuteness.

Ty's Blessing

Sunday we had Ty's Baby Blessing. It was so nice to have family in town and I'm so happy that Grandma and Grandpa finally got to meet Ty!

Ty got to wear the same outfit Lee was blessed in.

After his blessing was the first time when I was sure he was smiling on purpose. I wasn't good enough to get a picture of it though. This is the closest I got.

Ty's First Halloween

For Halloween, Lee and I decided to recycle our costumes from before and I made another costume for Ty to match. Since I was a white mage and Lee was a black mage, we made Ty a baby chocobo. For those who don't know, it's basically and ostrich sized chicken that's used like a horse in the Final Fantasy games.

Our cute baby

The whole family

Friday we had our club's Halloween party that was a lot of fun. I always love to see the costumes of people in the club. Saturday we had our ward trunk-or-treat at our bishop's cul-de-sac, but the weather decided for us that it was time to leave. We arrived a few minutes late and Lee had just enough time to finish his food before a big storm came. It started as a drizzle, then the wind became very strong and the rain became a down pour. Ty and I took refuge in the garage while Lee went to pull the car up so that we could get Ty home. Because we were in my parents' neighborhood, we decided it'd be best to go to their house and use the fireplace to warm up. We ended up staying there until midnight even though the weather got better. We helped pass out candy to trick-or-treaters and played some games with family and friends.

Since Halloween fell on a Sunday, we didn't do much on the actual holiday, but we did have a themed dinner at my parents'. We had brains (spaghetti), eyeballs (meatballs with a sliced olive for a pupil), haunted forest trees (broccoli), and with broomsticks (shaped breadsticks). I love how my family always has fun with holidays and food.

2 Years!

Last Sunday on 10-10-10 was our 2 year anniversary! It's hard to think that it's already been that long, but I can't imagine life without Lee now. He is such a wonderful husband and I'm so grateful for everything he does for me.

To celebrate, we went for all-you-can-eat sushi on Tuesday, while my mom babysat for us. Afterwards we went home and watched Mr and Mrs Smith. A simple night, but it was great to spend time together as husband and wife. At the same time, it was weird not having Ty with us.

Welcome Home

Friday we got to bring our new baby home! As nice as it is to be pampered in the hospital, I was excited to be home.

Dressed in his going home outfit that was given to us by his Aunt Maura.
Buckled up and ready to go!

We were greeted by this awesomely decorated door.

I can tell my sister is having a lot of fun with her silhouette. You can also tell I was testing the time stamp function on my camera, and I've decided I do not like it, so you shouldn't see it again after this post.

Family of 3!

It's the big news everyone has been waiting to hear! Our boy, Lee Tychus Allen, was born September 29th at 5:24pm after 4.5 hours of labor! He weighed 8 lbs 5 oz and was 20 in long! He came out with a full head of dark hair and has plenty of rolls too!

After his bath, it was easier to tell how much hair he had. No wonder I had heartburn!

Wide awake and looking around. I love looking in his eyes!
