18 Month Terra

 My little lady Terra turned 18 months this week! We went to the doctor on Friday and she's doing great! She is now 24.5 lbs and 2'8.5" tall! I asked the doctor to diagnose her for asthma, but they said she's still too young to definitively get an answer. From my observations though they said it most likely is asthma and gave me a prescription for a nebulizer and medicine. So far we've only used it once and it did seem to help her sleep better that night. She normally coughs badly during the night, but I didn't hear any last night. I'm just hoping she grows out of it like I did.

Today was Terra's first official day of nursery! To commemorate the occasion we had a fun little photo shoot at home before church. She's so cute, but didn't want to sit still and look at me.

Terra's been going to nursery for a while now so I thought today would be the same as the last few weeks. But of course, now that she's actually 18 months old she didn't want to go. I sat in nursery with her for a while, but eventually had to sneak out to play piano in Relief Society. At first she was okay because I had left during snack time, but once she noticed I was gone I could hear her crying. We left her in there, but eventually they took her to Lee. I hope that this was just a result of her not getting a nap before church like usual.
I'm so happy to have my little ray of sunshine in our family! She's so sweet, loves music, and loves food! She especially loves fruit! She will gobble up any fruit she can find and will choose fruit over candy. She lately has loved singing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" around the house. She continues to surprise me with how much she has picked up and how quickly she is growing! She can now say Mommy, Daddy, Ty, Byebye, Hello, Hi, I want that!, doggy, woof woof, thank you, and so many others I can't think of right now. We all love Terra so much and I can't imagine our little family without her!

7th Anniversary!

7 years have passed so quickly! To celebrate this year we went on a cruise to the Bahamas and it was amazing! I loved every moment and can't wait until the next time we take a cruise!

 The last night our steward moved all the animals that were still alive back onto the bed...

 plus a hanging monkey on the wall!

 This was probably where I spent the most time other than the buffet. It's where all the trivia and game activities were held. By the end of the cruise I was pretty well known amongst the trivia crowd for winning so much.

 We call this guy Carrot Head. He was hanging in Captain Cook's Bar and I found myself staring at him while thinking about the answers to the trivia questions.

This cruise was so much fun and I can't wait for the next one! (No plans yet!) And even though I felt like I was overeating and I was having dessert and ice cream every day, I only gained about 1 pound! All that running around the ship must have counted for something! On the actual day of our anniversary we didn't feel the need to do anything big, but we did make it a priority to go to the temple.

 

 We did sealings and it was a great reminder of our marriage covenant. I'm so grateful for my decision 7 years ago to marry the wonderful man I now call husband. Lee has made me a better person and I like to think I've helped him a little too! Here's to many many more years together!
