Valentine's Day

Like most of our other holidays, it was simple but great. I started our day with pink waffles that I attempted to make heart shaped, but the didn't work too well. After that we got to open our gifts. For Ty I got small heart box with three chocolates and a red heart-shaped balloon.
For Lee I got a bag full of goodies. There was a bottle of Martinelli's, a box of chocolate heart-shaped snacks, a box of fortune cookies, and assorted candies. The chocolate heart-shaped snacks said "Be My Valentine" on the box. The fortune cookies were because I am "fortune-ate" to have Lee in my life. He is my "lifesaver" and so there were lifesaver candies. Also included were a Big Hunk, a Skor bar, Mr Goodbar, and a Bit-O-Honey because I call Lee "Honey". He got a kick out of my corny jokes. For me, Lee surprised me yesterday with Girl Scout cookies! Yay! Then today he brought home a bouquet of beautiful flowers and some candies.

After gifts, Lee had to take off for class. While he was at class Ty watched Disney Channel with their fun Valentine's shows. I worked on cleaning a little since Ty hadn't been allowing me to do dishes recently and I was finally able to work on those. When Lee was done with classes, we ended up deciding we didn't want to cook for dinner, but we also knew better than to go out to eat, so we decided on a take out meal. For some reason, I just really felt like a simple pizza, so I did a quick run to Little Ceasars and we enjoyed that with our bottle of Martinelli while we watched Limitless on Netflix.

Lee's mom also stopped by today and gave us some valentine's. Thank you! Ty got a lollipop that has lips on the end, so it's really cute to see him eat it.

I hope everyone had a wonderful day and had someone special to celebrate with! I know I'm so grateful to have Lee in my life. He works so hard to make sure Ty and I are comfortable and well looked after. I don't know what I'd do without Lee in my life.

Organization

I usually don't post about this kind of stuff, but I'm just so happy I thought about it. Living in an apartment, I don't have a lot of space for a big crafting area like I want, so I have to stash my stuff in drawers and cabinets in the kitchen. Up to this point I've been keeping my threaded bobbins in the metal box that my watch came in. The problem with that is that the strings come loose and get tangled together. Because of this I would just cut the threads when I needed to pull one out, but I felt like I kept loosing a lot of useful thread. Then when our new Joann's opened, they were selling the plastic containers for organizing pills. It was even a really nice one that locks if you aren't pushing a button on the side. Then I thought "This would be perfect for my bobbins!" They fit perfectly and no longer get tangled or loose!I also found a bead organizer that works great for my spools. Now they aren't just sitting in a plastic bag anymore!

Snow Fun

Ty finally got a chance to go sledding! Unfortunately, Ty doesn't really show emotion very well when experiencing new things. While going down the hill, he had a straight face, then at the bottom he just got up and started walking back to the top. After a while of playing, he decided he was done and started walked back towards the house on his own.Ty wasn't really enjoying being pulled on his sled, but Lee enjoyed it.
