We started opening presents on Christmas Eve by letting the kids open the gifts from their siblings. I love seeing the thought that goes into the presents they buy for each other and seeing how excited they are to give them.
After those presents we went to church. Being ward music chairman meant I was in charge for the day and I think the Christmas program went well. After church we finished packing and hopped in the car to drive to Colorado Springs to stay at Rachel's house. I had to reassure the kids that Santa would know where to find them.
It was fun being able to see Jon, Melissa, and Chloe. They live on the other side of the country and we don't get to see them often.
I love having family close enough that we can get together for holidays. The house may get crowded, but I love it and our kids love getting a chance to see their cousins.
