Big Boy

Ty seems to keep growing up faster than I want him to. He's already 20 months now! We finally decided to treat him like a big boy and bought him his own new bed! He absolutely loves it and was playing on it before we finished putting it together. Unfortunately sleeping in it took a little work the first night. He was okay with laying in it, but would hop out as soon as we tried to leave the room. He ended up asleep an hour after bedtime. Once he was asleep he stayed asleep, even though he managed to fall out of bed about a half hour after going to sleep. The bed even has guard rails! When we heard the noise over the baby monitor we thought he was about to leave his room and come to us, but that didn't happen. After a few seconds Lee went to see what had happened and found him on the floor. I then gently picked him up and put him back in bed. The next morning, he woke up but amazingly stayed in his room. Nap time went really smooth which gives me hope for tonight. We'll see.
For those wondering, that's the crib folded up between the bed and wall.

100 Posts!

To commemorate hitting my 100th post I'm going to have a raffle! All you have to do is comment on this post and at the end of May I'll use a random number generator to select the winner. The prize will be something homemade from me. Most likely it'll be a hand-sewn toy, apron, hair bow, or some other craft I've made before. I'll let the winner decide what they want.

For those wondering, two posts ago was my 100th post, the "Ride 'em cowboy!" post.

Also, Ty put his shoes on all by himself the other day. Apparently he thought it was time to go outside and play, which we did once he had clothes on.

I was so surprised he put them on the right feet and everything! He's so smart and growing up too fast!

Gram Gram pulled out a new toy today when she babysat. At first Ty needed a little help getting on and figuring out what to do, but by the time we came back he could get on and off without help and rock by himself.

On a side note, this is the 100th post to my blog! Yay!

Kite

When we first moved to Colorado, Lee's mom took us to see an awesome kite festival at the park. A few days ago she texted us that it was this Saturday, so I was really excited to go there with Ty. When we got there, it was just us and one other person with a kite. Turns out, the festival is Sunday. We still had a lot of fun with our kite and playing at the park. This was the first time that Ty had flown a kite and it was so cute watching him. I was going to get video, but my battery died when I tried.

After a while we brought the kite lower so it'd be easier for Ty to see and thought chasing the tail was a blast.
